Apprentice Favorite Episode

My favorite episode was season two episode eight and the contestants had to make a recruitment video for the NYPD to get people to join.  Mosaic's leader was Andy and the leader of Apex was Elizabeth.  The winners saw their promotion played on the big screen in Time Square.  Nobody was taken to the boardroom because Elizabeth was fired on the spot.  She was a inefficient and weak leader that is why she was fired.  The business lesson is you have to be driven and love what you do.

Current Event

The current event I chose was the self tying shoes.  Nike has recently came up with a new shoe called the Nike Hyperadapt 1.0 and they are shoes that tie themselves.  This shoe is very expensive but it has a good purpose.  It sells for $720 but it has new technology to tie the shoe by itself. This shoe can help disabled people with everyday activities like tying shoes.  Also this shoe is opens up a whole new market because its only a matter of time before other shoe companies make their own self tying shoes and that is how it connects to marketing.  This will also create competition within the market.

I received 17 responses to my survey.  Everyone who took my survey was a student and the majority of the people are in 12th grade.  The majority of the people play a sport and five of them play soccer.  Also the majority of the people who took the survey were male.  I could add more question to improve the responses to my survey.

To promote our subjects we can make a twitter account to tweet out updates and schedule for the teams.  We can also put flyers up around the school to spread the word about the schedule.  We can also have people make announcements to tell people about events about our subject.  We intend to spread the word about our two subjects now.

The Kraft Foundation that is a charitable foundation started by New England Patriots owner Robert Kraft.  This gives the New England Patriots players the opportunity to help out the community and many players use this to give back to the community.

Volunteer of the Week:
The Kraft Foundation nominates a group of people every week and they are called the "Difference Maker of the Week".  This basically rewards people for helping out in their community. Many players also take part and help out the community.  For example players like Devin McCourty and Matthew Slater help out their community in many ways.

History of Video Games.

In October of 1958 the first video game was made and it was a game of tennis.  The first online game was in 1983 and it was made my a company called SuperSet software.  The first console was made in 1967 and it was named the Brown Box.  The first handheld video game was made between 1977 and 1978.

Marketing Mix.

Product:  My product is a video game called A Day in the Life of an NFL Quarterback.  This is a simulation that the user can control to experience a day as an NFL quarterback by going to practice, working out, going out to eat, or playing in games.  You basically take over these guys lives and making decisions for them.

Price:  The price of my video game will be $46.00.

Place:  My video game will be sold at Gamestop, Wal Mart, Target, Best Buy, and Cosco.

Promotion:  To promote my video game I will have commercials air on t.v., sales, coupons, and ads in the newspaper.

Slogan:Unlock the door to a fantasy.

Celebrity Endorsement: Tom Brady.

I chose Tom Brady, Cam Newton, and Jameis Winston.  Tom Brady is a four time Superbowl champion and a four time Superbowl MVP.  Tom Brady plays for the New England Patriots.  Cam Newton was the MVP of the 2015-2016 season and the Superbowl finalist.  Cam Newton plays for the Carolina Panthers.  Jameis Winston was the number one overall pick out of Florida State University and was the Heisman award winner as a Freshman.  Jameis Winston now plays for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Tom Brady, Cam Newton, and Jameis Winston are three very good NFL players.

Generation Y

I chose Generation Y because both my older brother and older sister are in that generation.  This website is a good reference to the demographics in Generation Y

There is a variety of people in Generation Y.  They are basically around their late teens to mid thirties.  More than a quarter of people in Generation Y lives with their parents.  Generation has people like Mark Zuckerberg and Mookie Betts.  Overall I think Generation Y is a good generation.  Also I believe they have contributed to making the world a better place.  Generation Y has some nice quality people.






I think Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead seem like t.v. shows that people in Generation Y might like.  Home Alone and the Lion King are two popular movies from Generation Y.  Time magazine and Reader's Digest.  People from Generation Y might enjoy something like a Patriots game or a Red Sox game.  People from Generation Y might like vacations to Florida or the Caribbean.

Fad

The fad I chose was the product Heelys.  The target market is children and teenagers both boys and girls.  It is appealing because it is a pair of shoes that have wheels you can roll on when you want.  I do not think anything replaced it.  It faded because people were less interested in them.
 

Color Rush

On Thursday nights two NFL teams face off and they will be wearing the new color rush uniforms.  They are colorful jerseys that will try to promote these Thursday night games and increase jersey sales for all 32 teams in the NFL.  These jerseys might also increase t.v. ratings because people will want to see these cool and interesting uniforms.  My 5 favorite are the Patriots, Cardinals, Panthers, 49ers, and the Steelers.  These bright colored jerseys are going to make Thursday night games more interesting.

Personally I like these uniforms and I think they will look cool during the game too.  They will increase the t.v. ratings and the jersey sales will go up for the NFL because people are going to want to see these new jerseys and they are going to want to own one.  I like the idea of these jerseys because they will make the Thursday night games more interesting.  I look forward to seeing these jerseys on Thursday nights this year.  I believe these jerseys are going to help increase the income for the NFL and that is a good thing.
